Who We Are

Heritage

Filippa K was founded in Sweden in 1993 by Filippa Knutsson, Karin Hellners and Patrik Kihlborg, pioneering the now-iconic look of Scandinavian minimalism. They saw a need for simple, well-made garments that answer to the real experiences of daily life while balancing style and comfort in equal measure.

Filippa Knutsson’s vision of an uncomplicated, desirable and sustainable wardrobe is as relevant today as it was when she started the brand at her kitchen table in the 90s. The label’s ready-to-wear clothing and accessories continue to redefine classic through a progressive lens with thoughtful craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Anna Teurnell

Since February of 2024, Anna Teurnell has led all creative aspects of the brand at its Stockholm ateliers – continuing to build on the original vision of an uncomplicated, desirable and sustainable wardrobe. A renowned fashion designer and Swedish native, Teurnell has spent decades honing her creativity across the Scandinavian fashion world. Her work has consistently centred around the real needs of her customer’s daily lives: a value that has been foundational to Filippa K since 1993.

Teurnell’s distinctive vision for the curated wardrobe carries Filippa K’s founding values of style, simplicity and quality into the modern era. Building on our heritage and archives, each collection will continue to evolve the elevated staple pieces that remain relevant season after season, helping our customers look and feel good for years. This holistic design approach marks a new era while reinforcing our ethos: balancing refined style and functional comfort for an effortless solution to dressing well.
