Re:sourced Crepe

Filippa K is proud to be the first brand introducing a new recycled and renewable material – Re:sourced Crepe. The revolutionary fibre is created from a combination of textile waste and wood cellulose.

Each of the eight pieces in our SS24 collection is crafted from the groundbreaking OnceMore® technology from Swedish forest group Södra, REFIBRA™ technology from Lenzing, and sustainable practices from Portuguese textile manufacturer Riopele.

The innovative partnership is the latest in our ongoing commitment to finding circular solutions in fashion, bringing together the strands of the industry to progress change.

"We’re very excited to be the first brand to develop pieces in Re:sourced Crepe, using OnceMore® pulp and Lenzing’s REFIBRA™ technology as well as Riopele’s yarn and fabric production expertise. It’s important to us at Filippa K to collaborate with like-minded partners who are at the forefront of sustainability, as we work towards transforming the fashion industry together.”

The textile waste is separated, and the recycled cotton cellulose is combined with wood cellulose to create a dissolving pulp. This is then blended with upcycled cotton scraps and wood pulp to create Re:sourced Crepe.
