Filippa K’s updated Amsterdam store serves as the latest chapter in the house’s ongoing transformation, designed in collaboration with architecture firm Profan. The space celebrates heritage and craftsmanship – taking inspiration from Scandinavian nature, and combining refined shapes with soft textures to cultivate a welcoming environment. Commissioned works are on display from collaborators over the years, alongside custom wooden shelving by Malte van der Meyden. The changing rooms feature unique tapestries, handcrafted from leftover Filippa K yarn by Micael de Leeuw.
The store also conforms to 2030 Paris Climate Agreement targets: it is powered entirely by electricity rather than gas and features a heat recovery unit to reduce carbon emissions. Additionally, the soft lighting throughout comes in the form of a low energy LED solution.
